"Koloa Spice Rum is made from the mash of raw Cane Sugar, distilled in an impressive vintage 1210 gallon steam powered copper pot still and cut with filtered water from the ancient Mount Waialeale."
About Koloa Rum Co.:
"Koloa Rum produces award-winning premium, single-batch Hawaiian rums with locally sourced ingredients at our distillery near the town of Kalaheo, on the south side of the beautiful Garden Isle of Kauai. All of our rums are distilled twice using our vintage 1,210-gallon copper-pot still with a copper column and condenser. This still was built by Liberty Coppersmiths in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1947 and refurbished for use at our distillery.
Koloa Rum was founded to create world-class, quality products using sustainable practices and provide meaningful employment for the people of Kauai — all the while preserving the open agricultural space of the island. Our first batch of rum was distilled and bottled in September 2009, which coincided with the opening of our Tasting Room and Company Store at Kilohana Plantation in Lihue. Koloa Rum continues to evolve and develop new flavors that bring the spirit of the island to your cocktails. From coffee to coconut to pineapple and, of course, sugar, the natural bounty of the Garden Isle is ever present. Be sure to check here often, since we always have new and exciting flavors in the works."

At our Kalaheo Distillery, you’ll also find the cocktail mixes, jams, jellies and syrups of Hawaiian Fruit Specialties and its Kukui Brand. The company was founded in 1931 by the Tateishi family as a means of preserving the wild guava, pineapple, lilikoi, and other abundant fruits of Kauai. We are proud to perpetuate the recipes and long family history of hard work and dedication that the Tateishis began.
It’s not just the individual ingredients that you’ll taste in Koloa Rum. We proudly invite you to discover and savor the unique, blended flavors of Kauai for yourself in our products. Head to the Tasting Room for tastings beginning at 10 a.m. daily. Come taste the spirit of Aloha today.”
