Painted Stave Bottled In Bond Rye Whiskey is our homage to the great whiskey made in the Mid-Atlantic prior to prohibition. Using a "Maryland Style" mash of 70% Rye, 25% Corn, and 5% Malted Barley, we craft a spirit that is noticeably spicy and a bit sweet, then age it for at least four years in our heavily charred 30gal oak casks to mellow and blend the flavors to perfection. The final whiskey retains the rye spice that makes it a superb addition to a Manhattan or Sazerac, with enough sweetness to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks as well. Non-chill filtered and bottled at 100 Proof, as all BIB Whiskies are required to be.
