Our Barrel Aged version of Calio Rum begins just like the clear version, with 100% Louisiana molasses at our New Orleans distillery. We source our molasses from a local sugar mill that is just 80 miles from the distillery. It’s a distinctive blackstrap molasses with amazing flavor and Louisiana terroir. After pot still distillation, the rum is entered into barrels for maturation. Calio is has not been filtered and no flavoring has been added. An outstanding sipping rum!
